Renishaw UCCserver™ Product Development

Software for metrology applications and the ability to develope and supply software products for orginal equipment manufacturers are core competences of MSP.

MSP developed a product, ezLink, which used a command interface protocol (CMMIP) that was propriatoty to MSP. ezLink was targetted at companies who wanted to interface to the Renishaw UCC range of controllers but did not have the time or resource to develope using the Low level interface software supplied with the UCC controllers.

Optical Gaging Products used ezLink to integrate contact scanning on there range of 3D multi sensor machines.

As increased awareness and takeup of I++ DME MSP formed a very close partnership with Renishaw with the aim of delivering an I++ server for the UCC range of controllers. The result was UCCServer, an OEM version of the ezLink product.

Since the first early versions of UCCServer supported RenScan3 UCCServer could be delivered in a timely manner which could allow Renishaw to be at the forefront of the I++ development comunity.

MSP's long history with UCC development allowed an already good working relationship to provide fast integration of new RenScan5 technology.
