What is po2mo?

po2mo is a website designed to handle the compilation of portable-object (PO) files into machine-object (MO) files. These files are used in the process of translating a C++ software product from one language to another, with the minimum amount of complications for all parties involved.

What are portable-object (PO) files?

These are text files used to store the original strings extracted from the C++ project and their corresponding translations.

What are machine-object (MO) files?

Compiling a PO file produces a machine-object (MO) file which can be read by the software product. This allows languages to be dynamically changed during runtime without the need to restart the application.

Who runs the service?

The service is provided by Metrology Software Products Ltd.
