Fixturing solutions

MSP fixturing systems comprise add-on NC-PartLocator modules to provide fixturing solutions that can be integrated with any manufacturing process.

NC-PartLocator is a comprehensive fixturing package as standard, but extra MSP, or bespoke, modules can be added when manufacturing process integration requires it.

New modules can be written in any object based programming environment such as Visual Basic, .NET variants or any Windows™ object based scripting language. These can be written by MSP or the customer. Full documentation is available.

NC-PartLocator is fixturing software jointly developed by MSP Ltd and Delcam PLC. All product and module software is developed, released and shipped by MSP Ltd utilising core libraries and other materials supplied by Delcam PLC.

These NC-PartLocator modules usually require probing points taken on the parts being fixtured. These can be generated by any competant machine tool metrology package, but MSP Ltd also supply software modules for Delcam's PowerINSPECT OMV product which performs this task.

Modules

NC-Checker

Use this module to discover what's wrong with your machine tool. Contains metrology tests to ascertain all problem types, produces a test summary with full detailed reports if required. It can be run on new, or existing, machines, as a one-off test on machine installation or as a daily requirement.

Pillar

Used for setting up fixturing systems where the part is supported on multiple pillars at varying heights. Fixturing points do not have to match the probing points, pillar adjustments can be either manual, or automated, dependent on the adjustment mechanism of the equipment.

Marine

For fixturing very large structures, like boats, which requires a specialist module for their unique problems. Twist, rough alignments in some areas, very precise in others, all taken into consideration to produce a final alignment for the whole part.
